“Most of us don’t think a whole lot about getting dressed. Sure, we might care about our style, but the actual process of putting on clothes—pants one leg at a time, button through the button hole—is as automatic as breathing” (Matchar, 2018).
Inclusive design is serving a specific target market while also appealing to the mass population. Through ideation and multiple prototypes, a wheel-chair accessible lingerie set has been draped and designed. Adaptive lingerie in its simplest form exists, however, none of what’s out there now is sexually-empowering. The heavier focus on function rather than design makes bras in the current market visually obvious that it’s adaptive clothing, which isn't inclusive.
