Aiming to provide the target market with a visual piece of her culture wherever she goes, this print went through different stages of prototyping prior to the textile printing stage. This print is inspired by complex geometric patterns that are present in many Middle Eastern mosques. It celebrates the history of Islamic advancement in mathematics and architecture. The combination of nature and architecture poses an expressive integration. The scale of the repeat has been carefully selected to ensure versatility in commodities. Multiple recolourations, line thicknesses, and scales of this print have been narrowed down in hopes of choosing one that is the most fluid and expressive, without compromising aesthetic.
